Description
I don't play golf, but this book lays out the absolute basics and suggests ways to improve your play. From metal spikes being replaced by plastic (easier on clubhouse floors) to the adage about losing the game on the putting, and what penalty ensues if you inadvertently sign an incorrectly marked score card, this compact little hardback told me a great deal very quickly and simply. I didn't know that golfers fear a shot where the ball lies above or below their feet on a slope; but I can immediately see why, from the photos. I thought having a golf ball at each corner of the page is a bit too cute, but the whole book is packed with photos and sound advice. If I did play golf (I got this for a friend) I'd read this book.
