Business consultant Bridges (Managing Transitions, Addison-Wesley, 1991) has written an engaging and challenging book outlining how the changing nature of work will dramatically alter how we do our jobs. He persuasively argues that the present information-based economy demands more flexible employment models than a manufacturing-based economy.
