Description

Dorian Gray, a handsome, well built young man, agrees to pose for a close friend and painter. After viewing a portrait of himself, a young, wealthy man expresses his desire to stay youthful while the portrait grows old. His friend, Lord Henry, points out that his wish was made in the presence of an ancient Egyptian god quite capable of granting his wish. Grief stricken by the death of his girlfriend, Dorian perpetuates his new lifestyle with every woman he meets. One day, he sees his portrait and notices changes in it. The young innocence now reflects a subtle hardness. Gradually a sinister plot evolves, fueled by sadism and self-loathing that results in five terrible deaths and a horrifying secret locked behind a schoolroom door. When Dorian commits suicide, the painting is immediately transformed to its original version of a beautiful young man. On the floor, the shrivelled body of a vice-ridden old man stares up at the ceiling.
